JENNY PEREZ UPDATES

Miami-based artist Jenny Perez’ debut exhibition with The CAMP Gallery explores her body of work as an inheriting and reinventing many of pillars of the revolutionary artists that came before her. Using her history as a self-taught artist and situating it in the context of both her street artistry and abstract works, Impressions of Jenny Perez validates her path and trajectory.

The opening reception for Impressions of Jenny Perez will be held on Friday, September 16. Curated by Mario Andres Rodriguez.

Impressions of Jenny Perez is available for viewing at The Camp Gallery’s North Miami gallery at 791 NE 125th St. from September 9–October 7, 2022.

Jenny Perez is a Caribbean-American painter and visual artist based out of Miami, Florida.

Please join me at Old No 77 for an intimate conversation as the hotel’s featured residency artist. The discussion will unveil my latest exhibition: “The New Orleans Collection: BLACK MATTER”, discussing the perspective and experiential elements that inspired the works created at Old No 77 during residency.

The event will be moderated by Chicago-based curators and art producers, Lindsey Meyers and Simone Garcia of Beauty & Brawn.

Guests will be treated to an exclusive collection preview and will be offered a complimentary custom cocktail courtesy of Compere Lapin.

All audiences are welcome and encouraged to attend the exhibition opening reception for “The New Orleans Collection: BLACK MATTER’ the following evening on Saturday, August 7th, 2021 at 6:00 pm as part of the White Linen Night festivities.

The event is free to attend and suitable for guests of all ages.

In conjunction with Old No. 77 Hotel’s summer “Artist in Residence” program, guests will have the opportunity to embark on an evening art bike ride adventure with artist in residence, Jenny Perez.

Post ride, the group will settle on a surprise location to gather and will share in a creative conversation moderated by Chicago-based curators and art producers, Lindsey Meyers and Simone Garcia of Beauty & Brawn. This event has been co-created with and supported by Bike Easy and a portion of ticket sales will be donated to the organization. Bike rental is included in the ticket price.
